Rabbi Eli Pe’er
Rabbi Eli Pe’er, is a renowned Mishmeres Stam-certified sofer stam from Yerushalayim with more than two decades of experience in the field. Over the years, he has inscribed dozens of sifrei Torah, specializing in miniature sifrei Torah that grace cities, congregations, and private homes around the world.
Employing a special technique that he developed and honed over the years, Rabbi Pe’er teaches Jews around the world the tenets of safrus and imparts the knowledge, techniques, and confidence they require to write their personal sefer Torah — even if they’ve never held a quill in their hand.
This summer Rabbi Pe’er will be in the tristate area
offering a series of courses to the public. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills they need to write their own sefer Torah, while simultaneously acquiring a wonderful pastime with eternal rewards.

Who is the course intended for?
For Jewish men who wish to fulfill the rare mitzvah of writing a sefer Torah on their own with maximal hiddurim.
Will the course enable me to acquire my own sefer Torah at a reduced price?
Absolutely! You will own your own beautiful, mehudar sefer Torah for less than a third of market value!
Which kesav do you teach in the course?
We teach kesav Ari, Beis Yosef, and Sephardi, so you can choose to write in the nusach that you prefer.
I never thought of being a sofer or learned safrus. Is this course still suitable for me?
Absolutely! Rabbi Pe’er’s unique method is specifically designed for individuals who have never held a quill. By the end of the 8-lesson course, you’ll know how to write like a sofer stam. You’ll benefit from personal attention, training, and guidance that will enable you to write your own sefer Torah with maximal hiddurim.
I don’t enjoy group learning. Is there an option for individual study?
